Strawberry Bruschetta

This week’s episode is all about sugar! While sugar does make food taste delicious, there are some down sides to sugar. Here are a handful of reasons to reduce sugar in your diet:

  • Sugar suppresses the immune system

  • May increase our risk of cardiovascular disease

  • Can raise blood pressure and increase inflammation

  • Can lead to weight gain

Sugar can be hidden in unsuspecting foods like breads, pasta sauces, cured meats, ketchup, soups, coffee drinks, and peanut butter… so read the labels.

This week’s recipe is a sweet recipe without using sugar!
