Compound Butter (butter with herbs and garlic)

This week’s episode is about butter, the history and health information. Butter was most likely discovered as an accident when someone was walking with a bag of milk that got agitated from the movement, therefore forming butter.

Butter is a dairy product that is 80% butterfat, milk protein, water, and sometimes salt. There are many types of butter, such as salted butter, unsalted butter, clarified butter (ghee), cultured butter, European-style butter, whipped butter, grass-fed butter, and grain-fed butter.

Health Information:

  • Butter is a great source of Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Calcium, Vitamin b12, and Vitamin K2.

  • May reduce inflammation

  • It can help strengthen bones because of the Vitamin D and calcium. Vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium.

  • It may improve skin health
