Homemade Paneer

This week’s episode is all about Milk. Humans first consumed milk from other mammals after animals were domesticated in the Neolithic Period. Sheep, cattle, and goats were among the first animals domesticated for milk.

Milk typically goes through a pasteurization process (heating to 162 degrees F for about 15 seconds) to kill harmful bacteria before it is consumed.

Health info:

  • Milk is a good source of protein

  • Milk is a good source of calcium and Vitamin D

  • Milk may help blood pressure

    • Some studies suggest that dairy products have been linked to a reduced risk of high blood pressure
